Michael Bauzon

The mathematics chair at Lumen Christi High School, Michael studied mathematics and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from UAA in 2007. A short time later, he decided to pursue graduate studies and earned a M.A. in secondary mathematics instruction from the University of Alaska Southeast.  

Michael is currently teaching Algebra, Geometry, 8th Grade Science, Trigonometry, and Precalculus. 

Working hard, setting high expectations, and having a positive learning attitude are standards Michael would like his students to have in and out of the classroom. 

Michael is an avid outdoorsman who lists riding his ATV, hiking and hunting as favorite activities. 


Jeanette Troup

Jeanette is a Master's certified, highly qualified educator with nine years of teaching experience within the Anchorage School District. She currently teaches 6th grade level math and knows how important it is for students to develop a strong foundation of basic mathematical understanding. Math is one of her favorite subject areas and she is passionate about making learning fun and meaningful for her students.

Jeanette is a very well-rounded person of many interests: 

  • hiking with her dog, Maggie
  • leading her book club
  • painting
  • teaching other teachers at the Anchorage School District Teacher's Academy
